1.Sir Syed Vocational and Entrepreneurship Training Joint Collaboration with HEC and SSUET

Sir Syed University of Engineering & Technology, successfully conducted a development program for young individuals held between Feb and May-2018 at SSUET. It was the First session in the Series of programs started by SSUET in Collaboration with HEC where the knowledge of current technological trends were shared. A highly interactive session on vocational and entrepreneurship training was conducted, which spanned on four-month duration. The main organizers were Dr. Muhammad Tahir Fattani (Associated Professor, SED) as the principal investigator and Engr. Tauseef Mubeen (Assistant Professor, SED) as the Co-Principal Investigator.

The program was comprised of 4 modules including technical knowledge training to entrepreneurship. Total 40 candidates were selected out of 800 applicants from various disciplines of life, who successfully completed the training. The focus was mainly on female candidates. Outcome of the training was presented in the form of projects designed by the students. These projects were designed with the mind set to develop small startups and innovative ventures as a freelancer or small enterprise with zero investment.

Along with other experts from the industry, Dr. Imran Khan, Faculty IBA University and Engr. Saad Naeem from M/s. Technosol conducted the training as chief instructors. The university gratefully acknowledge financial support from the Higher Education Commission, Pakistan.
