MS Programme Advisor

The BASR on the recommendation of the Chairman will appoint the MS Programme Advisor for each discipline who will guide the students to register for suitable course(s) before each semester. A student will only be able to register for a course after getting approval from the MS Programme Advisor.


Course Offering and Registration

Students will register for courses from amongst the offered courses whose list will be made available at least one week before the start of the semester.


Time Limit

Every student is given up to five calendar years to complete the MS Programme. This time interval begins with the first course registered by the student. Should this time limit expire, the student will be required to petition the Board of Advanced Studies and Research to have the time limit extended. Such an extension will require the revalidation of course work and examinations.


MS Degree Requirements

For completion of the MS Degree, the student must complete 30 credit hours as follows:

Course Work ———————— 24 credit hours (8 courses)

Thesis ——————————— 06 credit hours


Attendance

80% Attendance in all the lectures of each course is required. If however, absence from a portion of the semester is due to medical reasons or exigencies of service or such special reasons as may be acceptable to the Board of Advance Studies and Research or its representative, the students will be rewarded a letter grade "W".

MS Admission Requirements

(a) Computer Engineering with Specialization in Computer Networking

Four year bachelor degree from a recognized University with 3.0 CGPA or 70% aggregate marks in Computer Engineering, Computer Systems Engineering or equivalent.

(b) Computer Engineering with Specialization in Software Engineering

Four year bachelor degree from a recognized University with 3.0 CGPA or 70% aggregate marks in Computer Engineering, Computer Systems Engineering or equivalent.

(c) Electronic Engineering with specialization in Telecommunications

Four year bachelor degree from a recognized University with 3.0 CGPA or 70% aggregate marks in Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
