TOP POSITIONS OF SSUET IN ALL PAKISTAN SOFTWARE & PROGRAMMING COMPETITION N@STEC 06 |
SSUET has won 1st Prize in both categories of All Pakistan Software and Programming Competition N@STEC 06 on December 23 and 24, 2006. The university participated in the competition with 4 teams among whom the team of Ainuddin Chishty and Syed Waqas Hussain won 1st Prize in Speed Programming Competition and the team of Numair Zia, Muhammad Junaid and Zuhaib Hasan won 1st Prize in Software Competition (Database Category). |
SSUET was the only university to win two top slots and recieve high appreciation and recognition by winning such an event. |

SOFTWARE AND HARDWARE PROJECTS EXHIBITION(SHAPE) |
SSUET is committed to the development of research for which ample funds and facilities are being made available to the students and scholars". Chancellor Engr. Z. A. Nizami stated his white addressing the faculty, students and guests present on the occasion of the Prize Distribution Ceremony of the Software and Hardware Projects Exhibition (SHaPE) held at the Campus. |
The Computer Engineering students of batch 2002 displayed their final projects which were evaluated by the experts drawn from different Universities and Institutions of Higher Learning. The Top three positions were awarded cash prizes and trophies. Trophies were also given to best idea in software category and best idea in hardware category. |
The Project "Zenith" was declared winner whereas the projects " Micro Web Server" and L-BizMATE" took away 2nd and third positions respectively. The best idea for software and hardware awards went to the projects "Hearing through Eye" and "Wireless Automated Railway" respectively. |

SSUET GETS THE 1ST AND 2ND PRIZES IN PROCOM 2006 AT FAST NATIONAL UNIVERSITY |

| All Pakistan Programming and Software Competition (PROCOM) was held on 21st and 22nd April, 2006 at Fast National University, Karachi Campus. SSUET participated in the hardware competition by sending the following four project teams: |

The projects like and appreciated by visitors specially the judges and honourable guests including the Chief Minister of Sindh, Dr. Arbab Ghulam Rahim Senator Nisar Memon, Dr. Hilal A. Qureshi, Dean Faculty of Science. FAST National University, and Prof D. Zubair Shaikh, Director FAST National University. SSUET won the first and second prize in the programming competition. |

SSUET WIN 2ND PRIZE IN EMCOT 2006 |

"GESTALK" project prepared by the Electronic Engineering Students of SSUET was awarded 2nd prize at EMCOT 2006 organized by COMSAT at Abbotabad on May 8-9. It was one of the largest project competitions in Pakistan and about 55 different projects prepared by students of professional institutions from all over the country were displayed in the Exhibition this year. |
