Note: The admission fee is payable once only when the student joins the University for the first time in the First Semester Class or any other higher class.

The Security Deposit is against breakage and/or any other damage caused by the student and is payable at the time of admission in the University. This deposit or such balance as may be available out of it, shall be refunded to the student whenever he/she ceases to be student of the University.

None of the fees is refundable under any circumstances except in very special cases.

All fees are payable in cash/pay order (Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology, Karachi) only to the Cashier/Bank of the University for which official receipt will be issued immediately on receiving payment.

Every student of the First Semester class is expected to own a set of drawing instruments, a calculator and set of hand tools. Average expenditure on these items is estimated to be Rs. 3,000/-.

In addition, the student may find it convenient to own some books of fundamental nature which help him/her not only in the First Semester but throughout his/her University career and beyond. Judicious purchase of such books with the guidance of his/her teachers is recommended. An outlay of about Rs. 5,000 in the first instance on such books and also the stationery should ordinarily be adequate.
